Above-ground bunker in Siegen

Would you expect to find a creative workshop for architects in a former bunker from World War II? At first glance probably not. And yet the company modulbüro with the help of Alex Görg, Thorsten Wagener and Maik Pluschke, succeeded in renovating the above-ground bunker in Siegen. In addition to eight exclusive apartment units they even managed to create an office space, which became the home of creative and enthusiastic architects and designers. A place influenced by history, a rudimentary ambience with a small backyard for moments of fun and entertainment and many partners door to door – all these factors together made this spot ideal for a new plan 3 kitchen workplace.

On an area of approximately 60m², we intentionally exhibit only a single kitchen from our plan 3 manufactory. The kitchen was designed especially for this room by Walter Müller. Unlike the common and conventional kitchens, it is absolutely unique. Looking at this master piece, our guests can immediately become aware of what is important to us during the kitchen planning: We rather try to develop together new ideas and create unique custom-tailored spaces according to our customer desires than exhibit hundreds of different kitchens.
