Kitchen with a sculptural look

The starting point for designing this kitchen was our customer affection for collecting high quality designer furniture which significantly determines the new building furnishing. Their wish was to have a new kitchen which would comply with this style and would perfect this image both in terms of material use and lines. Based on our efforts to keep with a strongly linear architectural layout, we decided for a very long, narrow cooking and preparation island made of seamless, machined Krion, which evokes a modern sculpture by its extraordinary, floating shape and a niche on its back side.

The tall cabinets are adjusted according to the room height from the kitchen to the dining room. They differ only in the colour design of their front cabinet glass which visually separates the cooking area from the dining room in a gentle way. There is a discrete passage leading into the utility room and storage space. The tall cabinets are provided with folding sliding doors, which make it easy to push the full-glass fronts aside in order to create more storage space and also make some space for handy men. The large American fridge fits harmoniously into a high-cabinet route.
