FAQ23

bora

Why BORA?

Because it is functional and innovative! BORA did not invent a flush-mounted extractor hood fitted below the worktop, it improved it. In 2008 the company within its Professional product line launched its new extractor hood onto the market. The hood not only succeeded in the Cleanrate test with 100% extraction efficiency, but it was very quiet while functioning and easily operated at the same time. Various extraction options give us considerably more freedom for kitchen design and storage space utilization in comparison with conventional hoods.

bora

Which products does BORA offer?

BORA is a leading supplier of extractor hoods (including cooktops). The company products are available for sale in three different product series which vary in equipment and price: Basic, Classic and Professional 2.0.

Bora

When was BORA founded and since when has BORA brand been available?

In 2006 Willi Bruckbaueer developed his first and very own cooktop extracting system – BORA Professional - and had it patented. Not even a year later, the first production series was manufactured and his extractor hood brought a revolution into the extractor hood field.

Bora

How did the company plan 3 kitchen find out about the BORA brand?

While the BORA product series was being launched onto the market, we were looking for an innovative solution how to position an extractor hood for a cooktop situated in front of the window. The customer did not want to have a ceiling or a pull-out extractor hood installed, because she was afraid that such a solution would have caused cleaning and operating difficulties with time. After an intensive and profound search, we found out about the company BORA. Immediately we became absolutely impressed and excited about their product advantages. Since then we have been a satisfied and convinced distributor of BORA cooktop extractor hoods regarding all their available product variants.

Bora

What does BORA Basic stand for?

BORA Basic is really a powerful duo – a compact unit consisting of a cooktop with four induction cooking zones and a centrally integrated extractor hood. Its extraction performance is as efficient and powerful as the one of the higher-class extractor hoods – Classic and Professional production series - and guarantees 100% cleanrate. Vapour and odour extraction from the cooktops is directly controlled by a touch-control panel on the cooktop. It is economical, easily operated and suitable for every household for its very good price/performance ratio. The installation is finished just in a few minutes and it can be also done in already existing kitchen.

Bora

What does BORA Classic stand for?

The BORA Classic is a combination of a patented cooktop extractor including a built-in silencer and a plinth fan and differently powerful cooktops. Whether you decide for an induction (wok), glass ceramic, Tepan Yaki or gas hobs - here you have an absolutely free choice! All cooktop variants have a standard size of 515x340mm and they fit into any wall-mounted kitchen unit with a minimum depth of 60 cm.

Bora

Is it possible to operate BORA systems with exhaust air outlet?

In general, all the product lines can be installed in both air recirculation and exhaust air system operation. Exhaust air is drawn from the extraction drain directly into the external wall. In case of free-standing objects, the duct is approximately 10 cm downward in the body. The ventilation ducts are built either in a plinth, under the kitchen unit or they can be embedded directly into the floor e.g. in case of new buildings.

Bora

What must be considered in the exhaust air planning?

The Basic and Classic product series can be operated with a duct length of maximum 6 metres and with six 90 degree bends. Depending on this, the airflow rate decreases and efficient extraction is no longer guaranteed. If it is necessary to overcome a distance of more than 6 metres, the series Professional series will be more suitable, since different fans can be fitted in line one after another. Thanks to each new fan added, we can extend the duct length by up to six more metres. A careful and professional planning is important, because it guarantees a long-term and perfect extraction operation.

Bora

Is Bora more expensive than other extracting systems?

These three product series – BORA Basic, Classic and Professional - are offered in different price ranges. Whereas Classic and Professional belong thanks to their above-average and really flexible equipment to more expensive extracting systems, the BORA glass-ceramic cooktop Basic Hyper is affordable for smaller kitchens too. For a net price of 1.890€ you will get a compact unit consisting of a cooktop with four cooking zones and a flush-mounted extractor hood and which is ready for delivery and installation. This system is not only more efficient, but it is also more inconspicuous than other conventional extracting systems. In addition, the purchase price of this cooktop and extractor hood in comparison with other prestigious German producer is eventually more reasonable.

Bora

Main advantages of BORA Basic:

- reliably draws vapours and odours with 100% cleanrate - is easy to operate and clean, its filter can be removed and washed in a dishwasher - since the cooking zones are near the extractor hood, less extraction power is needed, which significantly reduces the amount of warm exhaust air during the operation in colder seasons - silent operation because its fan motors are equipped with the latest EC technology, which means they are not fitted at the eye level but below the cooktop - excellent price / performance ratio

What is so special about the company plan 3 kitchen?

In summary: It represents a three-tone cord - planning, coordination and production. Everything from one source - everything out of one hand - everything under one roof.

General

How does plan 3 kitchen differ from other competitors / other brands?

We do not sell ready-made kitchen units, but we work exclusively on custom-made projects. Each kitchen is individually designed and tailored in accordance with our customer demands and preferences while taking into account spatial potential and requirements. We offer permanently high quality in combination with perfect functionality – this is our standard! This is the reason why you will find a great number of references on our website, through which you can get an impression of our work. However, you will not be able to see any price lists or modular systems there.

General

What is the difference between the plan 3 manufactory and other joineries?

Joiners are multi-purpose craftsmen who make all kinds of furniture tailored to customer demands. However, precise project planning necessary in the kitchen area does not often belong to their service portfolio. Our kitchens start with first sketches on paper. Walter Müller has got over 30 years of experience in designing the kitchens of famous brands as bulthaup and Valcucine and he makes his ideas come true on his plan templates with incredible care and precision. Our plan 3 kitchen manufactory specializes in creating extraordinary kitchens. Martin Talas, our joiner is a real expert in kitchen construction. All the mentioned above is spiced and perfected by the company owner´s experience – Sascha Vetter, who studied architecture and craftsmanship. That altogether enables synergetic work from which can benefit both sides - our customers as well as us.

General

Why is a project so important?

That which may be for some people only a nice template represents for us the heart and core of every kitchen design. To create a kitchen which is not only visually appealing, but also functional, requires the most precise and professional planning. Only after introducing and integrating all the details into the project, joiners can start their work.

General

What is significant for kitchen designing of plan 3 kitchen?

Not only have we incorporated spatial requirements into our projects, but also your personal ideas and desires. Since we do not work with a fixed repertoire, we are not bound by assigned tasks or specifications so much. We can fully satisfy you and meet your ideas and expectations!

General

Is a kitchen project necessary for building a kitchen?

Mistakes and errors in projects cause problems on every building site. In any case a well-designed project is absolutely essential for a good final result and a satisfied customer.

General

What should be considered during kitchen planning?

Planning mistakes and errors delay the project and increase its costs. That is why we always work diligently, thoroughly and precisely at the same time. Here are several points which need to be taken in consideration: - The ground plan is the starting point for designing. The positioning of the individual furniture pieces while taking into account the proportions, ranges and minimum spacing distances represents the basis for creating an appropriate cooking environment. - Not only aesthetic aspects determine the planning itself, but it is also necessary to integrate high-quality materials and equipment which guarantee long-term kitchen functionality. A correspondingly reasonable cost estimate is therefore essential. - The height of the worktops needs to be adapted to their users. The usual industrial dimension of 90cm is today low for most people - an individual working adjusted to your body height allows you to work comfortably, relaxed and for a long time. - The worktop / storage space ratio must be balanced. - The installation planning requires getting exact details about water and sanitary facilities, electrical installations as well as about planned openings in the walls or covering the exhaust air ducting. - Appropriate lighting solution gives your kitchen the finishing touch. If you wish, we may bring you together with real lighting specialists who choose the right lighting concept for you.

Is it possible to buy only a kitchen design from Plan 3 kitchen?

One of our benefits is that we can offer our customers a complete care starting from the first sketches up to the finished piece of work. Our utmost wish is to create a perfect kitchen for you. The saying "Everything from one source, everything out of one hand" is therefore not only practical for our customers but it also allows us to control quality constantly during all the stages: designing, manufacturing and installation. Only in this way we can make sure that you will be really satisfied with your kitchen. That is why it is so important for us to accompany you all the way throughout the contract, so that your new kitchen meets our high functional, value and aesthetics standards not only on paper but also in reality.

General

Can I have my own projects implemented by plan 3?

Theoretically yes, if we find the existing project flawless. We will be happy to look at your kitchen plans together with you and discuss their feasibility. In some cases, it may happen that some new exciting perspectives will emerge for both sides. However, we mainly focus on our own kitchen projects. Since we commit ourselves to our work with all our heart and we constantly insist on high quality and design standards, we do not participate in any competitions where the winner becomes the lowest price bidder.

General

Is a plan 3 kitchen affordable?

Of course, a kitchen according to an architect´s design can cost € 100,000, but it also does not have to. Customers decide how much money they would like to invest and this fact itself then subsequently influences our kitchen planning. The final contract price can differ depending on the selection of materials and equipment. These are the main factors which cause great difference in prices.

General

Which materials are used?

We predominantly work with massive and homogeneous materials. In our kitchens we like applying mineral materials such as Krion or Corian, solid wood, glass, steel, natural stone or high-quality laminates. Each material has its own characteristics and features which need to be taken into account during kitchen design. We work with high-grade and high-quality materials, which you will be able to enjoy for a long time if you give them a proper care.

What is KRION®?

KRION is a new generation solid surface developed by SYSTEMPOOL, a company that belongs to the Porcelanosa Group. The surface of the material KRION® is warm to the touch and similar to natural stone. It is thanks to its composition – it is made of two-thirds from natural minerals (ATH – Alumina Trihydrate) and a low percentage of high-resistance resins. This composition gives the material a number of unique features: it does not have any pores, it is anti-bacterial and without any type of additive. It is hard-wearing, highly resistant and durable. At the same time it is easy to repair, easy to clean and requires only minimum maintenance. KRION® is processed in the similar way to wood. Material acryl allows us to cut the sheets and connect them. In addition you can also thermoform the single sheets in order to create curved elements or sections. All your design desires will be fulfilled: the material can be even injected during the production process in order to create various designs and projects that are impossible with other materials. Thanks to such features it is possible to create optically seamless surfaces and sections, which do not absorb liquids so much and which make cleaning and maintenance easier. In addition to its extraordinary properties KRION® wins your heart with its look. It is offered in wide range of colours including a pure and shiny white finish that stands out in comparison with other similar materials. It is also an ecological material, because it is 100% recyclable. All products made of KRION® can be reprocessed and reused in the production cycle. (Source: www.krion.com)

How exactly does the company plan 3 kitchen work?

Each work operation remains in our hands within the entire contract process from planning to implementation. At the first interview after viewing the place we begin with a brainstorming and analysis of our customer needs as well as with the first sketches. This is followed by a design phase during which the ideas are introduced into a specific kitchen project. Once the kitchen design is finished, we prepare a price quotation. Afterwards the production itself in our manufactory in the Czech Republic starts. Before the very expedition our joiner pre-assembled the kitchen in our own manufactory to allow a subsequent smooth installation at the final destination. By not using subcontractors or external installers we can fully supervise the birth of your new kitchen. By this way we assure you that all the tasks and procedures are done according to our highest quality standards.
